About the Position:The positions are located at the US Army Human Resources Command, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, Force Sustainment Division, Transportation & Soldier Support Branches, Fort Knox, KY 40122. Other Advantages:

Duties
  • Monitor changes to the distribution plan, sync matrix, and Unit Reset to insure qualitative and quantitative distribution of military personnel authorizations.
  • Coordinate military personnel authorizations worldwide with the assignment officers for requisition and utilization purposes.
  • Prepare correspondence for briefings to senior leadership/key officials regarding military personnel assignment matters.
  • Review the Enlisted Distribution Assignment System (EDAS) and make assignment recommendations based on organizational structure.
  • Provide technical interpretations on current and proposed manning regulations, policies, and procedures for assigned military actions.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

To qualify at the GS-09 level, specialized experience is defined as: experience in the concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations of military HR. Experience demonstrating a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods; sufficient to analyze and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the more complex aspects of military personnel management as it pertains to the assignments and professional development of selected Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) and Career Management Fields (CMF). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of military personnel management
  • Knowledge of the Enlisted Distribution Assignment System (EDAS)
  • Knowledge of organizational military personnel manning requirements
  • Ability to monitor a variety of assignment requisitions
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).

For the GS-09 level you must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.B or J.D degree from an accredited college or university (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
