Position Summary:

The Director of Access Solutions supports the growth and customer retention goals of RxCrossroads through a variety of strategic and tactical client solutions oriented activities. Reporting to the Senior Director Access Solutions, regularly interfaces with both current and prospective customers and delivers a variety of strategic solutions activities aligned to the unique needs of the Specialty Pharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical Services and Bioscience industries.

Responsibilities

  • Support the overall growth goals of RxCrossroads by playing an active role in the solutions developed in response to customer requests for proposal (RFP)

  • Accountable for new business growth as identified by annual budget.

  • Continued innovation of solutions utilizing in-depth knowledge of RxCrossroads’ offerings, industry trends, healthcare landscape/legislative impacts and the competitive environment

  • Lead the research and business development targeting strategy in order to segment and prioritize opportunities to ensure overall business efficiencies and success rates.

  • Client and Prospect Communication: Regularly prepare and present solutions to primarily prospective clients; however, in addition may be required to collaborate with current clients. Properly plan, design, and facilitate compelling presentations and discussions for customer engagements.

  • Participate in customer sales pitches and building ongoing customer relationships.

  • Responsible for identifying new and creative means to engage with prospective clients and the consultant groups to favorably position RxCrossroads over the competition.

  • Product Positioning and Value: Regularly engage in targeted activities designed to promote the RxCrossroads value proposition and platform capabilities. This includes but is not limited to, collateral preparation, trade shows, and/or creative RFP responses.

  • Manage and monitor departmental dashboards that accurately reflect the performance of research, marketing, solutions and sales.

  • Work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to regularly cultivate new prospects; design and execute proper marketing solutions in support of evolving sales models.

  • Gather and analyze market intelligence.

  • Leverage information to design and execute solutions in response to market intelligence and feedback.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, attending relevant conferences, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations

  • Communicate applicable regulations, news and information to business platform leaders as it impacts current clients or operations.

  • Identify gaps in RxCrossroads services and develop strategy to overcome via acquisition or leveraging in-house infrastructure.

  • Participate in development of strategy and tactics for annual marketing plan including active role in budget requirements and management

  • Participate in and/or lead specific marketing projects, as assigned

  • Effectively and efficiently utilize department resources to enhance solutions and outcomes – Research and Analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least seven years of progressive marketing/market access experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical services industry or equivalent experience in market access services provider roles.

  • Strong industry specific knowledge, including: demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices.

  • Strong business acumen of specialty the pharmacy commercialization and buying process including third party logistics, brand support services, consigned pharmacy, specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy.

  • Strong time management and project management skills

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships with management teams, business partners, current and prospective clients

  • Proven ability to function independently, demonstrate flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams

  • Strong knowledge of strategic marketing principles

  • Sense of urgency and drive for results

  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions within a matrix environment; strong collaboration and teamwork skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to travel up to 30% to 50% of the time

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional Powerpoint skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Marketing or other relevant graduate degree .

  • Business experience in disciplines outside of marketing such as market access, reimbursement and/or managed markets.

  • Clinical experience or healthcare consumer marketing experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related degreed program
