Credentialing Coordinator, Medical Staff Office, Jewish Hospital, Days, Full Time


PositionSummary: The Credentials Coordinator helps to

facilitate credentialing and recredentialing for all physicians and allied

health professionals in collaboration with credentials team. This position assists with processing

pre-applications, provisional reviews, and periodic review of privilege

criteria. The coordinator is expected to

have a clear working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules &

Regulations, TJC Standards, and regulatory requirements. It is critical that

the coordinator advise the Director and/or Manager of any problems with

physicians, non-physicians, credentials files or application process. The credentials position requires extensive

pre/post monthly Credentials Committee follow-up and maintains the medical

staff database to ensure the upmost integrity of the system.


Requirements: Degree in business

or health related field desired.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate

professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Website applications. Willingness to maintain a flexible work

schedule as needed. CPCS and/or CPMSM certification by the National

Association Medical Staff Services is required upon eligibility.
