The Data Management Analyst is responsible for day to day compensation data analysis for Mercer’s survey clients. The incumbent supports with all activities related to survey participation, job matching/benchmarking (explain methodology and assist in matching some positions for the client as examples), data submission, accessing and interpreting our data, and working with the Client Service Representative’s on client participation needs. The Data Management Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of data with a specific set of assigned clients as well as supporting the North American Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Center of Excellence (CoE) on client related activities such as webcast and results meetings.

Responsibility

  • Survey data management – Receive direction from Client Service Reps on client specific needs and targets during the survey cycle. Complete verification and validation of compensation data, submissions, and data validation files. Analysts will receive updated client info from Client Reps regarding compensation data; will assist with job matching and execute all data-related tasks.

  • Analysis - provide advanced / proficient submission support and report on post-submission analysis. Create insightful analytical reports for presentation and communication of the data. Relay the analytics to both the Mercer colleagues and the clients when needed. Provide valued information based on analysis and create communications that provide the analysis to clients in terms they can understand and utilize.

  • Client relationships – Assist Client Reps with increasing the quality of client data submissions, and to increase their clients’ understanding of Mercer survey processes and analysis.

  • Assist the Compensation & Benefits Center of Excellence (CoE) teams in the preparation of client meeting materials, assists in data review and analysis, and with custom surveys as needed.

  • Client documentation and reporting tasks – Contribute to the participation process documentation. Raise process improvement ideas/innovation to management and support the team’s innovation initiatives.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • Previous experience in operating systems a desire.

  • Demonstrate basic consulting skills (e.g., goal-oriented problem solving)

  • Understand your own role and how it contributes to overall team objectives

  • Know about Mercer’s products/solutions, business-specific capabilities and sales processes

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of how your actions can impact the client relationship and satisfaction (client could be direct or indirect).

  • Understand how Mercer leverages resources, products and processes to meet clients’ business needs.

  • Stay current on Mercer’s products/solutions and LOB-specific capabilities in the market.

Key Metrics/Success Evaluations:

  • Deliver quality and accuracy

  • Complete to resolution all solicitation, submission assistance (‘problem companies’) and data verification/questions calls according to plan.

  • Respond to client calls and emails within 24 hours

  • Receive high client satisfaction marks (vehicle and ratings to be determined) from assigned set of clients.

  • Demonstrate understanding of Mercer Benchmark Database (MBD) jobs as evidenced by quality of submissions.
