Managing Consultant - Hotel

This is a virtual position and can be filled anywhere in the United States

Job Summary:

The Managing Consultant is responsible for the oversight, fulfillment and overall success of existing and new client projects. This position will take a leading role in mentoring and training of co-workers and participate in the development of new processes, products and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Management

• Utilize Advito tools for resource planning and project management

• Lead client engagements managing project to timelines, client expectations and resource budgets.

• Identify addition revenue opportunities with the client from both current and future engagements

• Educate clients on industry changes and issues, and current events.

• Prepare and conduct client presentations providing analysis and consultancy.

• Support sales and retention efforts as directed by Principals

• Perform quality control metrics associated with project delivery

• Conduct ad hoc analysis to accommodate specific client needs

• Coordinate global customer action plans with appropriate Advito staff , BCD Travel account managers, and sales teams

Delivery Management

• Utilize Advito tools for resource planning and project management

• Participate in initiatives to improve internal processes and expand service offerings.

• Provide resource assignment input based on need and skill set.

• Work closely with management and development to identify training needs.

• Work with development team on technology improvements.

• Provide assistance to Consultant team in development of negotiation points and strategies

Industry Knowledge

• Stay abreast of industry trends and technology product lines.

• Identify competitive threats and emerging problems and offers swift solutions to preserve the integrity of relationships

• Maintain constructive relationships with account and travel managers and share trends/industry changes

• Share and establish best practices

• Provide client and market feedback to Advito leadership team

Staff Development

• Provide coaching and mentoring for learning, development and career path options and requirements

• Coach staff on presentation content and deliver

• Oversee client upsell and retention activities

•Participate in training as the SME as appropriate

Sales and Marketing

• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing team on positioning of Advito products and services in the marketplace

• Represent Advito at local industry and client events

• Work closely with BCD Travel account managers, sales managers and supplier relations staff to support client base

• Provide program and account management for clients and support sales efforts by pursuing cross-sell/upsell opportunities in an effort to expand business with current clients

• Deliver sales presentations and create proposals based on the Advito pricing model

Process and Product Improvement

• Drive improvements in tools and process initiatives

• Engage in knowledge sharing and best practice sharing

• Provide support for internal Advito projects

• Aid in price research and new product offerings

Qualifications

Essential

• 5-8 years Travel Industry and consulting experience, mid to senior level management

• Hotel Revenue Management experience is required

• In depth experience with travel incentive and corporate discount programs

• Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills

• Exceptionally advanced analytical skills - Ability to compile, manipulate, translate and independently present data required for deliverables and client reporting

• Highly developed problem solving and decision making capabilities

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access software skills required

• Successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines with high productivity

• Demonstrated ability to lead and work with diverse, cross functional international teams

• Capable of leading large and complex client deliverables with changing priorities

Preferred

• Experience with GDS, Hotel program management and airline sales

• Exposure to techniques for building client relationships
