CVS Health Pharmacy Technician - Picking Part-Time in Louisville, Kentucky

Position Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician for Med Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting and fast paced environment, filling prescriptions and ensuring the coordination of safe and effective drug distribution systems. As part of the Med Care team, you will work together with Pharmacists and other Pharmacy Technicians to successfully process prescription orders.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others. You will manually fill and package each prescription based on the day to day needs of our Long Term Care facilities. Our Filling Technicians also utilize medication packaging machines and other technology to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently. A successful Filling Pharmacy Technician will need to be accurate and detail oriented while pulling the correct medication, strength and brand as indicated on each prescription label.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be standing for the length of your shift. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff is also required. You will need to be able to do moderate lifting, bending and twisting as you select the necessary medication from the stock shelves.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be registered as a pharmacy technician or a certified pharmacy technician with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy

  • Must have submitted an application for registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

  • High school diploma or equivilant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Pharmacy experience.
