Are you a Research Scientist or Technical Writer interested in joining a biotech company? In this full-time, direct-hire opportunity in northeast Louisville, you will be mentored one-on-one by a well respected Director of Research in a small biotech company focused on the discovery and development of novel therapeutic compounds for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

What You Need for this Position

  • MS minimum, PhD preferred

  • A passion for learning and a drive to grow into a Senior Scientist role after extensive training.

  • Experience in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field.

  • Superb English skills, both written and verbal.

  • Research skills

  • Ability to independently design an experiment in culture or animals on your own

  • Interest in learning a new way of doing things

What You Will Be Doing

All lab work is outsourced. There will be no bench work.

Help develop in vitro assays and in vivo studies in animals and humans

Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources.

Work cooperatively with external vendors.

Manage and grow our scientific library database

Identify and share new relevant discoveries with the team.

Draft or edit research and preclinical technical reports and eCTD Modules (e.g. 2 and 4) in collaboration with contributing scientists.

Review and edit technical documents from CROs.

Analyze, graph, interpret, report and present data generated by CROs, laboratories and other service providers.

Manage the process for research and preclinical scientist contributions to study reports and regulatory documents. Provide document management support.

Manage timelines and deliverables for outsourced preclinical studies and projects.

Provide preclinical Supplier Performance and Relationship Management (SPM/SRM)

Provide functional contract management support to outsourced preclinical studies and projects. Manage contracts, deliverables, and invoices in collaboration with our finance and in compliance with applicable SOPs and laws.

Maintain current knowledge of the field and area(s) of scientific expertise and development.
