Work Environment: Office environment that requires interaction with employee communications and public relations employees. Environment is collaborative and team-based. Will require some out-of-the-office work to cover public events, media tours, etc.

Job Summary: This position works in a team environment designing internal and external communication deliverables with input from internal customers and project leaders. The primary job duties require significant graphic design knowledge and experience. Deliverables may be for print or supporting graphics for video, multimedia projects or social media. Additionally, some video experience is desired to support Public Relations projects for social media and internal communication channels.

Job Description: The primary job role is to function as a graphic designer. Person should have strong technical graphic design skills and knowledge of applicable design programs. Individual will need to be able to take projects from initial customer request phase to concept development to finished product with minimal input. They should understand challenges of working within existing brand guidelines and color pallet restrictions. He/she should also be able to design and edit animated infographics videos. He/she should also have photography skills to support Public Relations projects. Ideally, he/she would have some video shooting and editing experience or at minimum a strong understanding and aptitude to work toward video production proficiency.

Required Skills: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop - and Microsoft Office. Proficient in Adobe Lightroom. Proficient with DSLR cameras for photography. Proficient with Adobe After Effects or Apple Motion for motion graphics support. Minimum of 3 years experience as graphic designer or related communications field. Should be familiar with @UPSAirlines Twitter and Instagram channels and be prepared to discuss design elements related to those channels. In the application, applicant must include a link to an online portfolio of work demonstrating skills in graphic design, photography and video. Must clearly indicate which design/photography/video elements were created by the applicant. For example, if stock photography was used or if applicant only provided graphic support for a video sample, protfolio must clearly state what level of design is represented by work sample.

Additional Skills: Experience using Mac OS platform. Understanding of working with Canon 5D and Nikon D7200 for video production. Understanding of working with Adobe Premiere for video editing. Knowledge of video encoding. Proficient in social media campaigns and content cadence related to Twitter and Instagram.

Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must be highly creative both visually and technically with strong team skills. Must be a self-starter and have solid time management skills. We are seeking a broad skillset, not only traditional graphic skills, but demonstrated abilities in still photography and video.

Testing Requirements: Candidates will need to bring a portfolio of work for interview.
