Kforce has a client seeking a SharePoint Developer in Louisville, KY. The SharePoint Developer uses his/her in-depth SharePoint knowledge to provide web solutions. This individual performs a broad mix of development activities acting as both SharePoint Designer and Developer. Essential Functions:

  • Perform a broad mix of development activities including, but not limited to, assisting and directing the customer design/User Interface (UI), overall site experience, and branding, as well as developing the SharePoint solution to be implemented

  • Understand the out-of-the-box functionality and SharePoint web services well enough to provide solutions with SharePoint Out of the box features

  • Use in-depth understanding of SharePoint to solve technical and business problems

  • Demonstrate excellent communications and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical staff in understanding potential needs and solutions and translate requirements into solutions

  • Work with business users and other assigned associates to gather and document business requirements, analyze, design, develop and implement user friendly solutions (e.g., workflows, lists, templates, web parts) for existing or new applications. In all development work, follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process

  • Develop solutions via coding and/or scripting within the SharePoint environment for creating site templates, list templates, event receivers, and timer jobs (PowerShell, .NET, C#, CAML)

  • Develop web parts, features, SharePoint Apps, and workflows within SharePoint Online

  • Demonstrate a consulting mentality - willingness to continually raise the bar, customer service first, take ownership and demonstrate joint accountability, and constantly improve and innovate

  • Participate in other non-SharePoint web projects that support organizational goals and objectives (internal initiatives, prototypes, etc.)

  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience

  • Asp.net, C#.net, web parts, master pages, Ajax and JavaScript experience

  • Experience with projects that use formal waterfall (e.g. PMBOK), agile (e.g. Scrum), and hybrid methodologies

  • Experience with Web 2.0 concepts and technologies (AJAX, Flex, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)

  • Experience with SharePoint Server Administration including solution management, farm configuration, and search configuration for internet and intranet sites is a plus

  • Experience with SharePoint object Model, KPI's, Visual Studio Workflows, Claims Based Authentication, Web Services, XML, SOAP, and XSLT. Well versed on .NET frame work

  • Experience with application architecture and design (lists, libraries, site collections, content types, web parts, content editor, versioning, and permissions)

  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or git and github/bitbucket

  • In-depth knowledge of GUI prototyping tools, software design, Web development technologies, and protocols, including: HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS are required

  • Experience with jQuery, React, KendoUI, Vue.js or other JavaScript frameworks is desirable
