Position Summary: Perform accounting function for entities within the Division including general ledger accounting, current assets, liabilities, cost reporting, cash books, community benefit etc. Work through month end close activities and create journal entries for market activities. Point of contact for market finance and operations teams for assurance about accuracy and completeness of financials. reports to the Accounting Manager. Special projects as assigned.

Working Relationships:

The Senior Accountant is responsible to the Accounting Manager. Is in daily contact with co-workers, managers, and directors. May have contact with physicians, vendors, auditors, attorneys, and representatives of licensing/regulatory agencies.



Bachelor degree in Accounting with 3-5 years experience in accounting preferably in a healthcare related industry. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office. Strong foundation and experience in specific Accounting functions. Detailed-oriented individuals. Knowledge of AR systems. Knowledge and experience/profiency in using Lawson systems. Attention to detail. Strong sense of internal controls, systems controls. Ability to research differences, edit to research differences, edits, suspense accounts. Ability to work independently, problem solve, analyze financial information, and provide narrative summaries.

Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies.
