Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Dispatcher at our Aggrock Quarry in Sellersburg, IN

Responsible for taking customer orders and scheduling/dispatching material haul trucks for the Southern Indiana and Louisville Metro markets. Other task will include: answering phones, offering product information, acquiring freight rates for quotes, assisting local sales staff with other administrative duties and cross training with scale house to help cover scales at times of need. Key skills needed to successfully perform this position include: customer focus, customers service, data entry skills, listening skills, phone skills, excellent verbal communication, building relationships, people skills, interpersonal savvy, problem solving, and the ability to multi-task.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO:
Receive customer orders via telephone by completing order form in addition to offering product information
Fulfill requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests.
Answer inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.
Resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
Schedules orders to ensure efficient, and cost effective movement of trucks and materials including back hauls
Re-arrange schedule continuously to accommodate cancellations, quantity changes and “must have” orders
Assigns delivery times continuously throughout the day based on product availability, plant location, plant hours, time of delivery and truck availability.
Create drivers’ tape by recording drivers name, start time, plant location
Responsible for maintaining spreadsheets, driver files, incident documentation and other logistic reports in order to maximize truck efficiencies.
Perform other duties and assignments as required
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
3-5 years of dispatching and construction experience required
Must be available to work all shifts
Must have excellent computer skills, reports/documentation , and system functionality
Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral, or diagram form.
Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced call center environment
Ability to tactfully and professionally deal with customers both internal and external
