Stanley Black and Decker Paint Line Operator in Shelbyville, Kentucky


  • Operate paint and lacquer lines
  • Act as back-up to Set-Up Operators
  • Learn set-ups and tank cleaning
  • Complete O.I.R. (Operator Inspection Report) and communicate progress to incoming operator at shift change
  • Notify supervisor, maintenance, or quality immediately when a problem occurs with any part of your job, equipment, or product
  • Train new associates in any of the above duties
  • Load and unload blades from Paint Line carrousel
  • Meet or exceed production targets for output and quality
  • Maintain equipment, fixtures, and work area in good orderly condition
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates
  • Clearly identify product by item number, status, and quantity
  • Meet requirements on Training Sign-Off for this position
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Assist or perform other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of three months experience at Stanley Black & Decker with proven performance in safety, quality, work ethic, attendance, and attitude / teamwork
  • Ability to perform set-up and loading/unloading tasks safely, quickly and efficiently
  • Positive attitude and drive to meet and exceed expectations
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid technical and shop math skills to control quality of product
  • Excellent people skills to train and motivate Paint Line Team
  • Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Flexibility to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent
