Job DescriptionKelly Services, Inc. is hiring for a Quality Technician for a premier Manufacturing facility in Shelbyville, Ky. This is a direct hire position! In your role as a Quality Technician you will be inspecting material, received components, finished products, and work in process to ensure conformance with customer requirements, internal quality plans, and government specifications. Pay is $13.75 to $18.75 an hour depending on experience.Essential duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Demonstrated ability to perform all functions of a QA Technician Level II. - Interpret and apply GD&T principles. - Ability to perform MRB as directed by Quality Group Leader. - Be a liaison and interface with customer representatives, including travel to customer sites for the purpose of audits or inspections, and other quality duties, as directed. - Knowledge of heat treat process control, if assigned to Aerospace. - Ability to measure complex parts and assemblies using a CMM and Virtek measurement system. - Ability to calibrate/troubleshoot electronic measurement equipment. (Wizard and ACQ slide) - Maintain certification for eddy current testing, if assigned to Aerospace. - Understand Charpy Impact and ultrasonic weld testing results, if assigned to RFC Indiana - Other duties may be assigned. - Ability to communicate electronically and verbally with the customer professionally - Ability to lean a CI Team as a facilitator when chosen - Maintain fluent computer skills to provide charts, graphs, e-mails and other documents with a low margin of errors.Must be able to lift regularly and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
