  • Serves as an Instructor in the CYS Instructional Program.
  • Implements changes and adjustments to instructional program and plans to meet unusual situations associated with the needs of individual children and youth.
  • Develops individual and group lesson plans.
  • Observes and evaluates participants developmental level and records progress.
  • Plans and conducts special events for parents designed to promote the gymnastics program while encouraging parents to become involved.
  • Provides care, oversight, and accountability for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army and local policies, guidance, and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • All required background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2, paragraph 2-13; i. must be successfully completed and maintained to include the initiation/completion of Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI).
  • Applicant must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.

Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in gymnastics.

Preferred are those candidates who possess professional certificates/credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in gymnastics.
