The screen is administered to candidates that may be in a position of trust with youth to help ensure that ethical boundaries between youth and adults are maintained. By completing The Diana Screen® staff, volunteers and interns are helping make the Department of Juvenile Justice as safe as possible for youth. Provides professional administrative support in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of agency's activities within the Training Branch. Researches and compiles information as needed for reports and communication, including monthly academy reports. Drafts correspondence. Maintains training files and initiates various actions for supervisor's review and direction. Provides all required forms for academy participants, obtains appropriate signatures and submits appropriately. Participates in staff meetings. Maintains employee training files. Reviews files and advises supervisor of actions needed; follows-up on actions. Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of agency rules/policies and regulations related to the Training Branch. Disseminates information and materials as needed. Receives General Directives and adheres to rules concerning distribution and maintenance of same. Assists with maintaining all records and files. Answers telephone and schedules teleconferences for academy trainers, as needed. Enters academy trainers' training hours into software system, as needed. Assists academy training staff with developing and compiling training handouts, orientation packets, training evaluations and other forms/materials used for training purposes. Serves as back-up timekeeper. Responsible for inspection, service and monthly mileage report for academy training vehicles. Maintains and keeps inventory of all training supplies. Responsible for purchasing supplies and stocking them for the branch.
