Be a part of Service Operations – provide perfect service and guidance to members.

Humana is seeking a Customer Care Specialist for our call center to directly respond to questions, handle issues and provide guidance to both internal and external customers.

  • Receive, document and resolve customer inquiries by using established best practices

  • Build lasting relationships with Humana’s customers

  • Educate customers, providers and employers about Humana’s products and services over the telephone

    Role Essentials

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience or experience in medical office/facility.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle a constant volume of phone inquiries.

  • Strong typing and computer skills and experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously.

  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, listening skills, and attention to detail.

  • Be available to work during the hours of 7:45am - 9:00pm, Monday – Friday, year round.

  • Availability to work overtime as determined by business need.

    Role Desirables

  • Call center experience

  • Background in health insurance

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software

  • College degree

    Additional Information

  • Associates are required to stay in their role for up to 24 months before they are eligible to post for another Humana role

  • Associates in this role will have the option to move to full time work-at-home after 6 months of employment as long as all metrics and goals are being met
