Kforce Data Analyst SQL Server / Python in Louisville, Kentucky

Kforce has a client in search of a Data Analyst SQL Server/Python in Louisville, Kentucky (KY). This is a contract-to-hire position.Summary:The associate will be responsible for extracting/analyzing/modeling data sourced from many different platforms, including mainframe, Enterprise Data Warehouse, SQL Server, Access, and Excel. The associate will be working closely with the Markets and Management and internal client IT in order to respond to adhoc requests and data inquiries. Associate will also be responsible for analysis/design/build of SQL and Netezza databases that will be used for reporting by others in the department. A working knowledge of Medicare data is helpful. There will be minimal travel required to attend conferences and training sessions.

  • Bachelor's degree; concentration in Computer Systems or Mathematics a plus

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, including Access, SQL Server, and Oracle

  • Experience with database design and management

  • Experience working with Netezza

  • Experience developing in SSIS and SSRS

  • Experience developing in Python

  • Experience with .NET programming

  • Experience in a Scrum Agile environment

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Experience in Medicare and Medicaid

  • Strong SQL development skills with proven ability to build complex queries and lengthy programs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Proven ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to lead initiatives and coordinate work amongst peers to accomplish greater goals

  • Embraces continuous process improvement preferred

Reporting Relationships:

  • The position is in the Analytics group of the Risk Adjustment department under the direction of the VP for Senior Products
