Assignment Capsule

As a Data Scientist you will develop cutting edge predictive models that drive Humana’s strategy and operations. You will perform data analysis, develop algorithms and predictive models, and present technical information to a broad audience. You will apply algorithms and modeling tools to business data and develop solutions in collaboration with other areas of the business. Responsibilities include: * Develop and maintain a suite of predictive analytics to drive consumer engagement in Humana’s Retail Sales Operations

• Develop statistical models & methodologies to predict, quantify, and/or forecast various business/health metrics

• Ensure and maintain data quality and reliability

• Provide expertise and assistance in implementing model results in ongoing business processes

• Identify and recommend new data sources that will maximize analytic output and create customized reports with a team of Technology Consultants and Analysts

• Ensure full and clear documentation of all processes

  Role Essentials

• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering or a related field

• 5 years statistics and modeling experience

• Experience using SAS modeling tool

• Experience building and maintaining analytic data sets

• Proven ability with data mining and/or predictive modeling techniques

• Proven ability to effectively communicate results of statistical models to broad audience, including senior leadership

• Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications Role Desirables

• Master's Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering or a related field

• 2 years as a Data Scientist at Humana

• Experience with health care data, including Medicare/Medicaid

• Experience with SAS Enterprise Miner

• Advanced experience with statistical analyses and modeling techniques including propensity score matching, multivariate statistical modeling, and neural networks.

• Experience with large data sets and/or the analysis of patient-level healthcare data
