The Enterprise Quality Leader will be responsible for helping create and execute the organization’s vision for quality, connecting strategy to vision, and infusing a culture of quality throughout Humana. The VP will build effective relationships with business leaders throughout the organization and provide support around quality initiatives to drive quality improvement. This role will be responsible for leading change throughout the organization to ensure quality goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategy across the enterprise to improve quality and health outcomes

  • Collaborate with executive leaders to ensure quality activities are prioritized and incentives are aligned to improve quality and operational goals are achieved

  • Thought leader in clinical quality – connecting strategy to vision

  • Enterprise wide visibility – influence across the enterprise

  • Represent Humana with external partnerships, developing and maintaining these relationships

  • Influence key Humana initiatives by serving on Governance committees throughout the organization

  • Provide oversight of the Enterprise Quality Governance structure to support leadership consensus, decision making, and prioritization of quality activities

  • Lead efforts to achieve oversight, feedback and accountability of quality activities

  • Work cross-functionally to systematically embed clinical quality into all operations, driving innovative solutions to improve quality and health outcomes Key Competencies

Role Essentials

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in healthcare field

  • 12 years of experience in health care

  • At least 5 years of Performance, Process and or Quality Improvement experience in a healthcare setting

  • Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of professionals within and outside the organization

  • Experienced leveraging Performance (Quality) Improvement concepts, principles, tools and applications

  • Proven ability to lead change, drive results, think strategically and implement tactically

  • Understanding of corporate strategic goals

  • Strong collaboration, relationship building, and influencing skills

  • Ability to influence with and without direct authority Role Desirables

  • CPHQ Certification Reporting Relationship
