As a Software Developer you will be responsible for developing creative software programs based on received functional specifications, software design documents and end user input. Software Developer Job Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer you will be preparing, or receiving detailed functional specification and flow diagrams to illustrate the sequence of steps that the program must follow and describe input, output, and logical operations involved. Each project is different so you will be constantly challenged with new applications of our software. Once the software is developed and tested you will then work closely with our field operations team while they install the software in distibrution centers and manufactuing companies nationwide. Once the software is installed you may go to the customer site during the go-live to help debug and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Additional responsibilities include:
Developing professional mobile software that indicates management data; analyzing workflow chart and diagram; communicating closely with other team members or the end users necessary to resolve questions
Converting detailed logical flow chart to object oriented MS C++/C#/ASP.NET programs; working with MS SQL Server or Oracle or other relational database (DB2, MySQL)
Following revision and coding documentation standards; debugging and unit testing all software changes; following code control guidelines
Assisting in writing help instructions to guide operating personnel on location; providing feedback to team during program development
Completing programming assignments on schedule; participating in code review meetings; strictly adhering to our Coding Standard Document; creating Test Plans for Integration or Module Testing
Completing successfully unit level testing prior to passing the programs on to QC; getting involved in User Development Group network knowledge
Software Developer Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivelant experience. Preferred majors include: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, MIS, CIS or related field.
Proficient Developer and eager to learn new languages. Preferred experience in Visual C#, Visual C++, SQL Server and/or Oracle
Technologies include WPF, WCF, ASP.NET, JQuery
We are hiring for multiple openings. All levels of experience will be considered from entry-level, recent graduates to development gurus.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Open to traveling up to 20% for projects
Experience in developing WMS and/or Supply Chain applications a plus but not required.
