American Health Network Practice Manager in New Albany, Indiana

American Health Network, an Optum Health Company, is seeking a Practice Manager for our New Albany State Street location to provide leadership, direction, and administration of clinic operations to ensure accomplishment of organizational objectives. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs, supervises, coordinates specific functions and activities of the clinic, including systems, policies, and procedures, human resources, support services, etc.
  • Assists in the preparation and implementation of quarterly/annual budgets. Recommends funding based on knowledge of policies, costs, and operating practices
  • Facilitates the employment, development, and management of employees
  • Cooperates with medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Reviews operational problems/policies and recommends solutions and change to the Executive Director
  • Represents clinic at public and professional meetings and conferences
  • Promotes the provision of cost-effective, high quality health care services to patients
  • Performs other related duties which may be inclusive, but not listed in the job description
  • Leads effectively and sets positive example for others; embraces the changing environment in healthcare as both necessary and sees it as an opportunity

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field required. (3 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
  • 3+ years of healthcare administration experience required, including one year of supervisory experience
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of and skills with tools used in Healthcare Operations: EHR, Practice Management Systems, Clinic Operations, and related systems
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, decision making
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, Senior Management, patients, vendors, payers, and public
