What You Will Do

Oversees the activity of production employees working in the Hang-On/Take-Off area, assuring that products are being processed per specifications and production schedule.


  • Review production schedule, help set priority and confirm plans for achieving it.

  • Review Special Instructions or Quality Alerts to assure they are understood and will be met.

  • Confirm you will have enough employees to support the labor required for each job.

  • Confirm rack number and rack availability (burnoff complete where required).

  • Review hang pattern and line speed.

  • Confirm parts are available, and have them moved to the line when needed.

  • Review re-hang inventory to identify and prepare any part numbers included on the schedule that have any additional parts to be re-hung.

  • At the start of each shift and throughout the day, confirm the line is operating to normal specification including washers, ovens, conveyor, etc.

  • Assure each job is set-up per job card, including:

--Positioning of containers and people --Pressure settings on washer pumps --Oven temperatures --Line speed --All special instructions

  • Train the associates assigned to Hang-On to hang product per the Job Card, at the rate required (per line speed), and to perform all duties per the work instructions.

  • Oversee Forklift Operator on the parts/quantities to bring to the line to meet the schedule.

  • Ensure the raw parts are fit for use. If rust or foreign oils are detected, notify Supervisor immediately and quarantine/identify product per work instructions.

  • Turn the washers spray on and off per the job card for each product, and to minimize waste when gaps are in the line. Monitor the spray pressure/pattern in the washers and notify supervisor if the system is not operating and/or spraying properly.

  • Oversee the rework (sanding, buffing, etc.) of rejected materials coming off the line with the intention of rehanging during same run.

  • Notify Supervisor of required deviations from schedule, and note changes on the board.

  • Fill out and turn in required paperwork per work instructions.

  • Clear washers at the end of the shift and remove all parts. Report any damage to nozzles or other washer equipment to the Lead Coordinator.

  • Ensure all employees conform to all safety procedures.

  • Perform any other duties requested.

Physical Requirements

  • Bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting at the waist required

  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time (up to 10+ hours)

  • Plant environment with subsequent noise levels

  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Occasional use of ladders or power tools


  • High school diploma/GED

  • Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check Required

  • Forklift Operator Certification

  • Six months of leadership or strong leadership experience/capability, plus demonstrated ability to follow instructions, direct and train others, maintain good organization, and maintain a positive and constructive work environment.

Additional Information

  • 1st Shift - different shifts available starting beginning 5:00am

  • 2nd Shift - shift starts at 4pm

  • Monday through Thursday Condensed Work Schedule for Both Shifts
